AGGLOMERATION: The clustering of several similar or related activities at the same location. Many industries have firms that tend to agglomerate, that is, locate very close to one another, leading to geographic concentration. For example, the motion picture industry is concentrated in California, the fashion industry is concentrated in New York, and the petroleum industry is concentrated in Texas. Agglomeration can be caused by accessibility to a concentrated natural resource (such as petroleum or sunny weather), but if often feeds upon itself through agglomeration economies. Firms in the same industry often have lower production cost when the located near their competitors.

RED AGGRESSERINE
Your compete MICRO*scope for today
You are the type of person who competes from the time you wake up in the morning until you go to sleep and night, and loves every second of it. Family and friends refuse to let you play Monopoly, poker, or even Chutes and Ladders. Today, you are likely to spend a great deal of time at an auction hoping to buy either a coffee table shaped like the state of Florida or storage boxes for your summer clothes. Be on the lookout for broken fingernail clippers. You should consider shopping at stores or businesses beginning with the letter H, but do not buy any products with a serial number or product code containing the number 796490. Your preferred shopping venue is auctions. Your special symbol is the ampersand (&).
Is this You?
As a Red Aggresserine, you are somewhat audacious and quite assertive, extremely competitive and a bit vindictive. You take no prisoners when it comes to market negotiations. For you, the thrill is in the competition. You enjoy the challenge of getting the most for the least and will do all you can to come out on top. You live for the hunt, the chase, the transaction. Your adrenaline is triggered by the thoughts of economic victory.
This isn't me! What am I?

The Odds On GAMBLING I'm sure there's a great philosopher somewhere who once uttered the words, "Life's a contradiction and we're all a bunch of hypocrites." Take me for example. Just this morning I walked by Smilin' Ted's All-Comers Insurance Agency to drop off my annual shoe insurance premium (for protection against blowouts), then made a pit stop at Master Sprocket's convenience store where I plopped down five dollars on five (count 'em, five) Super Luck-O Multi-State Lottery tickets. Within a space of two blocks and twenty minutes I bought $37.56 worth of shoe insurance to avoid risk and then spent another $5 to take on some risk. Am I a walking contradiction, or what?
